Matt is touching on several topics today. Many people validated the claims of Joseph Smith and his journey with Moroni and the translation of the golden plates. There were also many people who truly believe Jesus was resurrected and claimed to see him. How are these two events different? It seems that both of these claims were validated by close friends or disciples? Can we trust Jesus’ resurrection any more than we can trust that Joseph Smith received special revelation from God through the prophet Moroni.
